Junior Team Golf and The Golf Foundation to enter into partnership JTG is in the final stages of confirming a pilot partnership agreement with The Golf Foundation, the respected UK golf charity. This partnership will be aimed at establishing a recognisable pathway from the current GF Sixes leagues which are primarily aimed at introducing beginners to playing in mixed teams of young boys and girls together, through to maybe playing with or against potential future Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup players in JTG Home Nations Championship competitions. The collaboration will be trialled at one or two venues in each of the South-West and North-West regions of England in 2026 with a view to a full roll-out throughout England & Wales in 2027. This has been submitted to Golf Foundation for approval.
Fitzpatrick siblings make history for a second time 27 year old Alex Fitzpatrick won the PGA Tour Indian Open in New Delhi at the end of March, just a week after his brother Matt had won the DP World Tour Valspar Championship in Palm Harbour, Florida. Thereby becoming the first siblings to claim titles in consecutive weeks on World Tours. This replicates a similar “footsteps following” event when Alex Fitzpatrick led the Hallamshire Club team to its second JTG Home Nations Final in 2014/15 in Antequera, Andalucia at the end of his junior career, 7 years after brother Matt was one of the “tailgunners” for the Hallamshire Club team which made its debut in 2007 at the JTG Home Nations Final at La Manga Club.
